Glow On: Summer Skin Care

Summer has finally arrived! As warmer weather approaches here are a few tips to keep your skin looking and feeling its best!

Moisturize: Moisturizing is by far the most important aspect of your skin care routine. Although the temperature is increasing, its still important to regularly moisturize your skin. If you use heavier butters and creams, a great tip is to apply your cream right after the shower while the skin is still damp. Applying moisturizer to damp skin will help the skin absorb the oils in the moisturizer much better, so you get maximum moisture without feeling greasy or heavy.

Exfoliate: Exfoliate the body 1-2 times a week to remove excess skin cells and buildup. This will help give you a great spring glow!

Sunscreen: Remember to use sunscreen with at least 30 SPF. Also, look for a face moisturizer that contains SPF.

Diet and Exercise: Hydrating your body by drinking plenty of water and eating fresh fruits and veggies is especially important for healthy skin. Exercise increases oxygen and blood flow, which nourishes the skin cells. It also removes toxins from the body, which can prematurely age the skin. So eat well and get moving this spring. Remember, Good Skin is an Inside Job!
